This is a set of 12 beautifully hand embroidered coasters (or doilies) in exquisite shape. They were originally purchased at a church bazaar many years ago and kept in a little box, all tucked away and never used. They have been gently cleaned in a non-chlorine bleach solution, and they sparkle now in blue embroidery on white linen! The stitches used include wrapped stem stitch, buttonhole, granito and padded satin stitch. Each coaster measures approximately 5 3/4 " wide. They would be absolutely gorgeous on a dining room table, used under a cut lead crystal wine glass, with silver candlesticks, lovely china and lace edged linen dinner napkins...can't you just imagine it?
