This sterling silver tatting shuttle is so beautiful. It is elegantly etched with a leaf design and scrolls leading up to an oblong plate ready for a monogram. It measures 2 3/4 inches long, slightly more than 5/8 inches wide and is 1/4 inch deep. There is still some very fine white cotton thread wound around the center, ready to be made into a delicate piece of tatting. The hallmark is the W with the arrow through it (Webster Company) and was probably manufactured around 1900-1910. This is a gracious piece for any needlework tool collector.
