This is a beautiful, graceful glove darner. The handle is sterling silver with pretty swirls and curls on both sides, and a curved shield that could have been monogrammed. The ends are two wood darners with original green paint over black. One end is rounded and the other is more pointed, enabling the stitcher to capably darn any size finger on a glove. It measures 4 1/2 inches long and the handle is 3/8 inches at its' widest point. It was probably made around 1880 to 1910. There are no hallmarks on this piece. It would make an exceptional addition to any needlework tool collection!
