This is a simple, elegant bodkin that's monogrammed in beautiful script with the initials "MDG". There is no hallmark but cleans up like it has silver content. I strongly suspect it is nickel or German silver. It measures 2 5/8 inches long and is 3/8 inch at it's widest. The shaft is slightly bent, probably from lots of use because it fits perfectly in the fingers when threading ribbons. It was probably made around 1915. It's a workhorse of a piece and would be extremely useful with anyone's sewing tools!
