This is a simple, elegant bodkin that's monogrammed in beautiful script with the initials "MDG". There is no hallmark but cleans up like it has silver content. I strongly suspect it is nickel or German silver. It measures 2 5/8 inches long and is 3/8 inch at it's widest. The shaft is slightly bent, probably from lots of use because it fits perfectly in the fingers when threading ribbons. It was probably made around 1915.
